Now that's a welcome development!

Prolly not if they’re actively flying with AAX. But I just learned that PR is looking at leasing 2 to 3 ex-GA B777 currently in storage. Definitely a welcome and badly needed addition to their long haul fleet in the short term.

Will PAL still be able to get back their two tri-class A330-300s which are now with AAX?
The layout is a solid 9 abreast in ECY. And lower BCL capacity i think around 30. That's what I have heard so far. Fingers crossed.

Are all of PAL's A320 and A321ceos reactivated? Seems like the issue with PW is not dying anytime soon.

Re: PAL

JNC03
Pratt & Whitney (P&W) has determined that many more PW1100Gs might contain defective high-pressure turbine disks and therefore require accelerated removal and inspection.

The engine maker’s parent RTX disclosed on 25 July that 1,200 of the engines will need to be returned to P&W over the next year for inspections that require the engines be taken off wings and partly disassembled.

Philippine Airlines has finally received permission to launch flights from Manila (MNL) to Seattle (SEA).

Their application to the DOT has now been approved after 3.5 years.

No timeframe is given when will PAL launch the route

321 Neos have the PW1000. CEOs have the V2500 engines. So far, I hear that 3 Neos out of 8 are parked due no PW engines. 2 CEOs for 2P are still parked awaiting return by late this year and early next year.

It’s curious how RR and PW won those contracts when pre-RSA, PR was practically pure GE/CFM on their 737s, A320s, initial A330s, A340s, and 744s. Now the only GE engines are on the 77W. What happened to their GE relationship?

If PAL were to lease these two planes, they both have 8 first class seats.

Application to fly Seattle direct is confirmed. It will be 3x a week. Launch date is not disclosed. Most probably in the last quarter. They have no planes to do this now, so the GA plane could be it. No final word yet as they are still negotiating with the lessor. Lease rate for 81 is so expensive and voyager wants 6 years in the contract that they let it pass away considering the arrival of the 35k. They rather want to have older frames in the interim, most probably 3-4 years time frame.

Both have been reconfigured to C26Y367 back in 2017 according to Planespotters.net. A total of 393 seats. Rather high density but with a comfortable 9-abreast seating in Y.
