If other aircraft type for PAL..therr are possibilities but not in their mind right now For next month it is related to a35K. Nasabi sa akin what brand and is the setup. On going pa ang negotiations pa. Better wait PAL's announcement |
Ah cabin and other details, I hope we can see a better business class for the A350-1000 to compete with other airlines like United's polaris business class
|
Better than Polaris in the A35K. Same brand ang Mabuhay and Premium Economy Nakwento sa akin hindi sya happy sa seats ng air cushion. Dami galix pax and lagi deflate. Unreliable tapos pareho kami pro foam seats tulad sa mabuhay class ng A320 and B744..hihihi |
Premium economy seats will remain the same? I expect it will be changed a little bit
Economy class with a twist now 10 abreast They looked at Qatar's A35K well last Paris Air Show they learned something especially in business class It's nice that PAL will order the cabins earliy especially now some planes are stored in TLS because there are no cabins installed |

Will PAL's A35K business class seats be close to QR's Qsuite? I think that's now the benchmark for business class seats.
BTW, I got feedback that PAL's edge over United is inflight service. I can't wait to see how both will slug it out. While United may own the points in business class seats, PAL will definitely win it when it comes to inflight services from the crew and the food. PAL just needs to have competitive ticket prices. |
maybe close to that...importance are legroom, space and comfort. I think it is something similar to this but I don't know the exact type but for sure no air cushion type of seats... Stan tried it when he was somewhere in Europe. He mentioned the air cushion seat in the A350 was a big mistake. It was unreliable and many pax got mad because it always get deflated. There will be 2 seat manufacturer - Mabuhay and Premium Economy will have the same manufacturer. I will keep until here in this forum (I will not tell in the other forum) until PAL will officially announce the cabin layout for the A35K. |

Will they put dimmable windows?
Privacy doors will be a game changer |

I hope they’ll also announce when they’re finally opening the Mabuhay Lounge in T1 Anyway, since you mentioned that premium economy will stay the same, that means they’re swinging towards Recaro for biz class? With or without doors? |

RP-C7781 livery removed
|
So 7781 was returned? Just when airlines are scrambling for planes, even old ones, PAL ends up losing them. Just so disgusting to see them letting for of the tri-class A330s, A350s, and newer 777s while keeping the older planes. Were these decisions made by the GSM - Vivienne Tan regime?
|
9925 I think... which flew back from CRK to MNL last July 19. |
I think you’re right |
Will PAL still be able to get back their two tri-class A330-300s which are now with AAX?
|
Prolly not if they’re actively flying with AAX. But I just learned that PR is looking at leasing 2 to 3 ex-GA B777 currently in storage. Definitely a welcome and badly needed addition to their long haul fleet in the short term.
|
The product is better although that may not be enough J seats. If there’s a last-minute substitution, people could get downgraded. Anyway, it’s still better than nothing. |
I've heard that they are looking into leasing GA's B777. I was checking seatguru and GA has 2 layouts: one fitted with F, 8F42J268Y and the other without F at J26Y367 |
Only two aircraft have F, and I’ve read that GA keeps the F product around for presidential charters. Would be nice if PR got the product with F. If they get the 2-class aircraft, it’s still an upgrade for econ passengers with 9-abreast seating. |

Philippine Airlines (PAL) confirms it is in talks to “secure additional aircraft”, in an effort to boost its network and fleet reliability amid the global supply chain crunch.
The airline made the disclosure as it inducts an Airbus A321 to its fleet to operate domestic and regional routes. It is the first of several aircraft the company will receive in the coming months amid supply chain delays. The other aircraft include an A330 – configured to seat 363 passengers and operating medium-haul routes – as well as a de Havilland Dash 8-Q400, which PAL will use for domestic inter-island flights. It did not state what other aircraft it is looking to add to its fleet in the near term https://www.flightglobal.com/airlines/philippine-airlines-in-talks-for-more-aircraft-to-beef-up-reliability/154247.article |
