Let's not forget the brand new Western Sydney Airport. I wish Philippine carriers fly here!

Only Singapore Air so far have committed to serve WSA.

I'm probably sure 5J would be committed to getting slots at WSI.

But the problem is getting there, AFAIK they will launch bus services first because the metro line won't be online until 2027 at the earliest

This is actually not the first time there have been Mongolian charters to the Philippines. MIAT has flown MNL and CEB charters before.

A35K doing PR730 today, 1 day earlier than planned. My friend was lucky to be onboard today. Legroom seems fine. He’s around 180cm like me.

I’m chatting with my friend who’s currently onboard the A35k. He shared some photos using the inflight wifi and the speed is good.

The slimmer ecy seats make up for the 32” legroom so legroom should be similar to the A359 and B777. Slimmer armrest too, just a button for the recline.

Did your friend say anything about the pitch? That was what people were worried about.

Maluwag daw/roomy according to him. IG does not allow me to screenshot. I was supposed to share it here. My conclusion: 32” pitch feels like 33” because of the slimline seats. His knees have some distance with the backrest of the seat in front of him.

I’ll try to personally ride the A35K early next year, schedule permitting.

The only photo I can share, not sure if his phone is at .5x

That looks like a powerport on the left? I don't think they officially announced inseat power in Economy so thats interesting.

Honestly, it doesn't too different from the spec model from ZIM. If anything I can immediately notice is that the upper half of the seat maybe slightly rounder? The PAL version seems a bit straighter

People are more worried about the shoulder room than the pitch.

Found a random reel on FB of Business Class from BKK-MNL. I like the reddish bulkhead walls with the PAL logo. The suite also seems taller and more private than some of the other versions of Elevation

the aisle width is reduced to maybe slightly wider than the trolley's width...my guess.
On the picture above, the aisle seems very narrow.

that reddish accent wall seems nice. a refreshing color to see onboard PAL aircraft that's usually, typically blue/white.

i still find those antimacassars tacky on those new business class seats.

thank you for introducing the antimacassar word. I call it head cloth. But yet, the antimacassar does not fit the seat.

AirAsia PH planning to launch flights to Da Nang and Hanoi next year. I get that Vietnam is the current hot destination among Filipinos, but isn't this already too much capacity? Especially with Da Nang which might already be saturated, going from one airline to three in just over a year.

Speaking of Vietnam, did Vietjet delay their MNL launch?

They’re already flying here if I’m not mistaken. I know someone who was on their inaugural flight. He posted some photos during his flight

I checked FR24 just to be sure. Yep, it’s already flying SGNMNL utilizing A321

PR to increase HNL to 6x a week from Jun 10 to Jul 14, 2026

PR to introduce A359 to SEA between Feb 24 to Apr 30, 2026
