Mond Ortiz on economy seats,
I don't know why people says its bad...
wait until you are rubbing shoulders with seatmates as large as you are and compare, not when you are all alone making an impression. One more thing, try to eat flight meals with your seatmates together. That would truly be an awesome review.

Hold a minute, its not full and its not long haul. What are you trying to prove? Nothing.

He placed in another review, but more detailed, and noted that the armrests on economy are closer to you, mentioning the smaller seat width. He also mentioned that there is a possibility of rubbing shoulders if two plus-size people sit beside each other.

He also talked about the new safety video being too draggy.

He's an influencer so of course he won't say negative things or risk losing his airline perks which he's a sucker for. Wait for non-influencers testing it on long haul flights. Is it tolerable? Sure, but it will be a tight one. On the positive side, looks like it's equipped with Panasonic Astrova. Those are good stuff!

It's a rather weird one, I'm not sure what to think of it. But I won't lie: the way each moment actually relates to a safety figure is creative.

The nerdy part in me was "thats not the Collins Elements seat, thats the Thompson Vantage"

But then I saw this scene and thought "did they just DIY and create the Thompson Collins Vantage Elevation seat: 🤣🤣

In all seriousness though, I liked it a lot and thought it got better for me after watching it the first time. I loved how all the safety elements actually weaved into the storyline so it didn't feel like it was just tacked on there and overall, it just fits the brand positioning of the airline.

A few people did raise the point of its length in the comments and got me thinking they might have to really plan when the video starts so that they're not still watching it just before they take off.

This goes to show that some posters here are avgeeks in their own peculiar ways. The ability to distinguish seats is a talent not everyone is blessed. They have acute sense of sight. Meanwhile, ordinary mortals merely marvel at its comfort.

PAL really is embarking on a "trend" as the first full service carrier to adopt 10-abreast configuration on the A350. Yet they are silent about it. Whether they would be successful on that remains to be seen in the coming years to come.

What's the status of the A321ceo reconfiguration?

Which birds have been refurbished, and which ones are next?

Just takes years of doing my own quiet observations. Helps being an only child where all you have to entertain you is what’s in front of you and hours of time and imagination!

Anyways, here’s the first real Economy trip report of the new plane. still not a full flight review but you can see from the POV the tradeoff is the legroom which is very generous

01-07 is on the first batch. By now they should have 3 already (05,06,03) and possibly 4 by February.

Sure is. I just hope they reduce the premium non-st0p price for this litte tolerable inconvenience. But I would be avoiding this bird for long haul.

CTS is only seasonal due to a lack of planes and not a lack of demand, right? PR is supposed to be getting more A321neos this year, so maybe ones more are available, they can make CTS year-round. MNL-CTS is already year-round on 5J and the route is doing well for them: sometimes they even deploy the A321neo there during Spring and Summer.

As for them using the 777 today, was there a charter or perhaps multiple tour groups that booked MNL-CTS and thus they needed the extra capacity? It seems interesting that business was almost full.

This is the third or fourth rotation of B777 on CTS this holiday season.

It seems reconfiguration schedule is incorporated during aircraft maintenance like 19 to prevent further disruptions. So its not clear cut anymore as earlier adopted, but depends upon which aircraft is due for maintenance checks. I think the next in line is 14 as it is AOG now. It should be the fourth one.
