That’s already 4 months late than initially planned.

Plane always late, in another aspect.

I’m wondering why some planes are not flying. Is it under maintenance? RPC9916 and RPC8780.

Re: SKYWAY

Skyway airlines posted a hint a few days ago about what's coming new to their fleet. Could this be the wet leased B767?

Meanwhile, Jetstar's Japan Subsidiary (majority owned by fellow OneWorld airline JAL) is slated to launch MNL-KIX flights on 26th October

Just like what I said three weeks ago. See
Philippine Airlines during 2025/26 Holidays season schedules service increase on Manila – Melbourne route

PAL is also growing MEL after securing regulatory approvals for more seats. Perhaps both carriers are pre-empting the QFA launch for same route.

That is deceptive advertising. XAX does not operate in the Philippines. AXM and APG does.

Well, they need to fill those seats somehow. Turkey’s economy isn’t doing too well, and Malaysia’s population isn’t very large. AAX also just recently suspended Nairobi, which wasn’t able to sustain demand.

Seriously, though, it’s like they’re just randomly starting routes by using a dartboard

AirAsia's PR is always deceptive

They are patching the delays for days now due to lack or aircraft

9932 as of last week. Will this plane fly again? Sad to see its state. 9937 is also sitting there with her.

The answer is spelled in two letters. P&W. Of course this was already announced before. PAL was affected by engine recall. They definitely would fly again.

I'm hoping this means they will get A321Ns and more A330Cs within end of the year because their active A320 CEOs cannot handle so many frequencies, especially with that many from Cebu itself

Wi-Fi by Inmarsat

PAL is slowly rolling out its new wifi service provider. First to be installed with the new provider is 9933. If I’m not mistaken, PAL plans to install wifi capability in all of its aircrafts including the CEOs. Complimentary access will be available to all passengers and would be unlimited access to basic messaging apps and simple browsing.

Just saw 8781 doing tests in CRK. Do you think it will be flying soon? Wonder what happened to it cause it was grounded for a long time.

Incidentally, 5J doubled down on their PW orders. What about PAL? Will they jump ship to CFM? They've had an amazing relationship with them in the past, now only the 77Ws have GE engines

The new 21n for delivery next year would still be PW powered. Pratt already paid them compensation for their grounded fleet.

For the rest of the refurbishment program, PAL is also plagued by supply chain issues which their supplier is powerless to provide. They are not the only airline doing refurbishment of existing fleets.
