First NEOs are supposedly going to arrive in June after being delayed by more than half a year. |

Interesting to see MNL at #6 (possibly because of their strong BPO industry?)... Could MNL-BLR be next on PR's list if DEL and BOM are a success? Maybe AI or even 6E once they get their A321neos (although that could be unlikely if the BPO industry hypothesis is correct, which would mean a large amount or premium pax) could start the route as well. |
Intresting indeed if I re-call Z2 wanted to start flight between MNL-BLR with A320neo but I'm not sure if their still interested? Also is it me or conicidence but GMR Group is headquarters at Bangalore!

PAL was quoted before as interested to fly to three points in India with A321neos without elaborating where. Considering that BLR is the third largest in the country, possibility is not remote.
With 6 frames arriving this year, there are still 2 routes still unannounced. DEL, BOM, CTS, & BNE were already given. The next two could be daily SYD and MEL. My bet is the first three frames are to fly Oz.

Reposting because my reply was accidentally sent as an e-mail...again.
You mean 2x daily for MNL-SYD right? And if they go daily/double daily does that mean they'll stop using the A330s for Australian ops? And speaking of the A321neo, is there any chance PR could switch some of their orders to the A321neo w/ extra ACT (like the one they're about to take delivery of this year) or even the A321LR? |
Hoping that PR would do double daily on SYD. Im hoping that ticket prices would also go down. right now my planned DVO-MNL-SYD, return, for December 2018 to Jan 2019 travel is around US$1.4K. 6 of us are traveling. that translates to US$8.4K. imagine my savings if the ticket prices would be brought down to US$1K , return....
if MNL-SYD would be 2x daily, i would say that 1 flight would be 321's and 1 flight would be 330's. |
Is this PAL? Have you tried looking at SilkAir/Singapore Airlines DVO-SIN-SYD if you're not willing to look at 5J? The prices might be cheaper there. |

I recommend checking page 81 as Arianspace has a pretty in-depth explanation about that. In short no I think a mix of A321N and A333 is more likely in SYD. with the A321N being more common operated while the A333 on peak travel seasons !

yes its PR. We always take PR because of the Miles. Syang. :)
But yeah, Singapore Airlines is also an option. its prices are half of what PR is offering. but what i dont like is the 9 hour layover in SG on the return flight. right now we are seriously thinking of getting SingAir instead of PR. |
From the renders its indeed Rockwell Collins (B/E Aerospace) Daimond Business Class Seats on the A321neo. It also reminds me of What QR has on thier A320. As for Economy class it looks like also Rockwell Collins Pinnacle seats.

The colours are not really my thing. Looks too sterile for me.
While a lie-flat seat is appreciated on a narrowbody, what they could've done is extended the partition on both the A321neo and A350 seats similar to what CX and QF has done to their seats. Your head when seated by the aisles is exposed. QR also has this problem with their seats not the Q-suites. |

I do agree with you I wish PAL customized thier seats abit more adding a widge on the end of the seat would have been nice.
Speaking of seat customization I was reading a flight review about DL new Delta One Suite (Business Class) seats which is base on the Vantage XL and are featured on there A350 and soon the B777. He mentions a potential safety issue with the doors that its difficult to open. I wonder if this could be the reason why PAL decided not to add doors in there A350 Business Class ? For those Intrested in the review: https://onemileatatime.boardingarea.com/2018/04/26/delta-business-class-a350-review/ |
I don't see what's the problem with having the same product for regional and long-haul flights? Qantas use the same (although heavily modified) Vantage XL seat they use on their long-haul 787s for their regional A330s. It's a very nice product (maybe not as nice as, say, reverse herringbone but still solid) and there's direct all-aisle access. Remember: consistency (in both soft and hard products) is crucial for a 5-star rating, and I don't think it'd be very cost-efficient for PAL to add a fifth J product on their widebodies.

Any renders of the A350 Premium Economy and Economy ? Curious what seat will the sests look like !
|
PECY will be the same seats as the ones on the tri-class aircraft on 2-4-2 config.
ECY same seats as the tri class 330s too on 3-3-3 config |

While a herringbone configuration would be a much better option in my opinion, the bright side is like you say, consistency. QF has these seats on their 789s which run from PER-LHR. Just the privacy factor seems to be the downside. They could've also opted for an 18" screen opposed to a 15" if the photos are correct. Once they get rid of the A343s, then PR will have lie-flat seats in Business across their widebody fleet which is a feat that even CX can't do. It'll be interesting what they intend to do on their 77W's and their 368-seater A330s. |

So they'll remain with Zodiac. Interesting, I thought they're still having manufacturing issues. |
