I was checking FR24, seems like 9918 has already been refurbished. It had already done 2 JP flights (NGO and NRT). PR consistency sends the refurb ceos to JP routes.

Thank you. I am re-reading my post and I actually meant to thank Arianespace for confirming it. Thank you as well. That means more planes with the “better” product. If we go by the airline’s announcements, we expect more will be done in the last 5 months of 2026. I have edited my original post.

Yikes, not as fast as hoped, but at least Japan is getting a consistent product.

Ironically, once this is done, PAL will have better hard product than MH on their narrowbodies.

I wonder how they’re going to address the seat pitch mismatch in business with the A321NEOs coming in.

I doubt normal passengers would notice the pitch diff between the neos and the ceos.

I was surprised CX equipped their A32NX with denser configuration versus PR (201 with the old config). They took in their first less dense config A32NX recently and is about the refurb the ones already delivered.

Lufthansa Technik Philippines’ Clark Base Maintenance Facility breaks ground today

Luzon International Premiere Airport Development (LIPAD) advances Clark AeroDistrict as Lufthansa Technik Philippines, Inc. officially broke ground on its new maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility within the Clark International Airport complex.

The three-digit-million-dollar investment represents a facility that will be built on a 157,000-square-meter site and the creation of around 1,200 highly skilled jobs. Operations are set to begin in 2028.

None. They are overcapacity fleetwise since MNL was taken out of the box. Not much traffic was also taking place at CRK.

At this point, will PAL revisit the E190-E2 to reconnect busuanga and siargao to MNL?

Infra upgrades won’t come in soon enough. And the planes can also do thin ASEAN and China routes.

Once the new MPH terminal opens they can even base a few there and connect Boracay to oneworld hubs of HKG and NRT.

I've been looking at last-minute flights between MNL and YYZ. If you want to see how aggressive some of the pricing is by United, most flights I've found were between $930-1200 USD to connect with their MNL-SFO flights vs $1290 on ANA/Korean or $1500-$1700 on Cathay, Qatar or PAL.

This isn't exclusive to MNL, but UA really drives prices down wherever they fly to. I guess there's enough premium traffic buying full-fare tickets that makes it possible.
