Not just three. By the looks of it, there are enough NEOs to replace GAP’s entire A320 family fleet right now.

I can’t think of other airlines in the world off the top of my head that would appreciate Spirit’s config as is. And with a crunch in supply for seats, I can imagine that anyone that has to reconfigure the jets will think twice.

If domestic is a really big money maker for PAL like Richard says it is, maybe they’ll take a little risk and spend a little more now and not worry about having to order more planes for GAP in the future.

Is it the video circulating in Tiktok? That seems to be old video showing RP-C3507, the first LoveBus, who now flies with Lufthansa. Still hoping they come back to PAL as LH winds down its operations.

In other news, Philippine Airlines and Alaska Airlines will be expanding their partnership to codeshares. Given Nutall's recent comments, I guess this means PAL joining Oneworld is becoming more a question of when, not if?

Well, QR just announced codeshare and Mabuhay Miles integration with PAL.

This is pretty big, given that QR has a large loyalty base in Southeast Asia and Australasia.

With Alaska and Qatar, oneworld seems like the way to go.

Qatar Airways

Likely, but no.

Anyway here is the news about it

PAL expands Qatar codeshare to add European routes

MANILA, Philippines — Philippine Airlines has expanded its codeshare agreement with Qatar Airways to cover 40 additional destinations, including major European cities that the local flag carrier does not currently serve.

In a statement on Monday, the Lucio Tan-led flag carrier said that starting June 1, its “PR” code would be placed on Qatar Airways flights from Manila, Cebu, Clark, and Davao to Doha and onward to over 20 major European cities, including Paris, Rome, and Frankfurt.

Just some harmless speculation hehehe

https://www.pointhacks.com.au/oneworld-connect-guide/

Requirement for oneworld connect is partnerships with 3 oneworld carriers

Qatar is one. Alaska is in the process for another. Perhaps FF integration with AA as number 3?

I’m actually surprised that the codeshare with MH isn’t much deeper. There would’ve been a natural synergy with PR bringing their transpacific network to the table while MH has their European network.

Hi Arianespace,

I have been following this forum for some time now. I remember signing up before the pandemic. As i seldom comment, somehow, I could not remember my account though I frequented the forums. Signed up now with a new account.

That said, I just wanted to know if you are privy to when the 2nd A350-1000 (RP-C3511) of PAL is scheduled for delivery. I am seeing F-WZNV (RP-C3511) just completed Customer Acceptance Flight (May 19, 2026). Otherwise, usually, this will just be a matter of days?

Thank you.

Mon Ortiz posted about it. Before end of the month so most likely that would be next week.

Looks like PAL’s long-grounded A321neo, RP-C9932, is coming back soon to the fleet. Some saw it at LTP with new engines installed.

New Zealand Ambassador Dr Catherine McIntosh met with Philippine Airlines President Mr Richard Nuttall to thank PAL for its long-standing contribution to air connectivity between New Zealand and the Philippines, and to discuss future opportunities.

Discussion on aviation connectivity included PAL’s current arrangements with Air New Zealand, and the importance of strong and reliable links between the two countries.

The meeting also explored opportunities for innovation, an area in which New Zealand aviation technologies offer recognised capabilities.

PAL is planning to go back and restore flights to Auckland late this year but the move is derailed by issues in the middle east. We actually have better oil supply than New Zealand. I doubt the NZ government could address that problem.

PAL is included in Qantas Classic Flight Reward Partnership

Another sign for PAL's Oneworld membership?

That really took me by surprise. PAL partners and interlines with Virgin Australia.

Possibly straight to OW then and no Oneworld Connect status first? Who could endorse them then?
