In a Philippine Stock Exchange filing PAL confirmed that Airbus A321neo deliveries will start again this year until 2029.

They also confirm the news of Bloomberg two weeks ago that the airline is evaluating an aircraft order with deliveries to start in 2031

2031 deliveries implies... a 787 and/or A350 order.

The A330neo I guess is out as its selling point is earlier availability. But if PAL is willing to wait anyway, might as well get the more capable plane.

I wonder, will this be a Farnborough announcement? Everything seems to be lining up.

In addition, if they're talking financing already, that means that the decision is made. They know what they're gonna spend on.

My personal prediction is 3-6 A35K, 12 789, 8 78X, and options galore. Less likely is 3 A35K and 20 A359. Should we start a pool? Hehe

They already did wait by reconfiguring their 77w. That would give them 6 more years of service. Which is a no-brainer actually.

Nope. They already have the 35k. Talking about the 35k, some interesting tidbits about oneworld, they are required to decongest for product consistency. Whatever that means.

The A35K economy product is seemingly going under the radar. We don’t hear vehement complaints on ULR sectors.

The A330 product, on the other hand, if the wrong config goes to Australia you will never hear the end of it.

If anything, other airlines are looking at PAL. If they really get away with ten abreast, other airlines might follow suit as that’s a lot of extra revenue

The Tri-Class gone Bi-Class seats are probably easy to reconfigure since they're presumably in storage right?

For the original Bi-Class, If theres no available seats for replacement, would they just ground those and replace them with B777s until they start widebody reconfiguration?

Are you hearing rumblings if the A330neos are still genuinely under consideration, or are they now seen as a long-shot or a dark horse at best?

Consideration, yes of course. The fact they spoke about delivery times tells you something about their preferred jet, which confirms our earlier discussion about it.
