- Philippine Airlines has rebranded its cargo business with an eye toward expansion and providing better services

- The PAL Cargo rebrand comes with a new logo, a more visible website, and a new tagline – Care that Delivers

- Cargo services were renamed for simpler identification

- PAL is also expanding its port-to-door service to include four-wheel vehicles carrying more than 20 pounds

- With the rebrand, the airline aims to increase share of cargo business in group revenue from the current 5% to up to 9%

Asked if there are plans to acquire freighters, PAL said they are still “looking into it” as getting slots in Manila is “very expensive” and passenger flights are “more sustainable right now.”

You mean MEL-MNL is getting a Qantas/Jetstar service soon? That's welcome news! While Sydney still gets more foreign arrivals, the growth momentum is with Melbourne and Victoria in general. Melbourne is the HQ of many Australian companies with extensive ops in the Philippines like Telstra and ANZ, so I was thinking there should be room to generate more traffic beyond what 5J and PR currently cover. PH is also QF's fastest growing market.

No, I think it means the Jetstar Asia planes are heading to Australia to be based in Melbourne. Jetstar Asia never had 787s anyway and only 787s and A321XLRs are capable of flying MNL-MEL nonstop.

Skytrax 2025 results are out. PAL is not even in the top 100. What an embarrassment. Just shows how the quality of their services have gone down the drain. Thanks to the Tans and BOD. Watch what will happen when the media picks this up.

Re: Skytrax

In public Skytrax is the basis but for other people they call it Scamtrax

But they deserve to be out of the top 100

Imagine AirAsia being the best LCC in Asia? Lol

To be fair, skytrax ratings are bought. Like, PAL could choose to not improve service and product and still get a good skytrax rating. I wouldn’t trust anything skytrax.

Re: Skytrax

Oh yeah I remember those skytrax audit flights which were usually overstocked with drinks and food choices (not usually loaded on regular flights), and the "better" planes are fielded to operate the predetermined flights during audit season. Not to mention the extra fuzz of all departments to make sure that the experience during the audit flights are top-notch, but does not necessarily reflect the real state of the regular flights. It is Scamtrax indeed.

Lets just hope this is not going to be a rehash of the 35k and 321N's.
Again, I'm not holding my breath.

A330neo simulator in the Philippines is a big convenience for A330neo operators in Asia aside from Cebu Pacific

I'm guessing this is for PR's first 35k.

And.

I'm still convinced that there will be no new orders from PR this year.
