SMC may not give updates, but DOTr does.

In the same interview, DOTr mentioned MRT-7 progress, SLEX TR-4 progress, and even the NAIA PPP, all SMC projects. Zero mention of NMIA, zero mention of Boracay. NMIA is understandable, but Boracay? We’re in the last nine months of construction; what should be going on is interior fittings and installation of baggage systems at this point. Is this project delayed? What’s going on?

Well atleast we see something besides megawide is known for fast construction, what we need to demand is terminal 5 in NAIA.

Boracay is in good hands compared to T5 where we see nothing yet

Sometimes the government gives updates to the projects that are not yet there

We will never give this company any slack as their projects are always objectively worse in quality from what other companies can do. In addition SMC has NEVER completed construction of a single airport terminal EVER. They have an awful track record.

2027 is in 3 months. We were told a 24 month construction period. With 9 months left, updates would be appreciated.

I want to be proven wrong. Believe me, I want this company to be better at what they do because they have a monopoly over two of the biggest gateways in the Philippines. But they simply have never given a satisfactory result ever.

So, what will we see first? NAIA terminal 5? Caticlan New Terminal? Civil works starting in NMIA?

Or better yet, will any of the above happen in 2027? Clock is ticking.
